EUROYARDS is a European Economic Interest Grouping seated in Brussels, pursuant to the terms and conditions of EEC Regulation 2137/85 of the Council of 25th July 1985.

Incorporated in 1992, the original membership within the group has changed over the years mirroring the evolution of the European shipbuilding industry.

The aim of EUROYARDS is to foster the interests of its partners, both by adopting common positions before international Bodies that promulgate the policies of the sector and by implementing them through ad-hoc working teams.

EEIG EUROYARDS is managed by an Executive Committee, whose members are CEOs and top managers of the shareholding companies.

Today EUROYARDS includes the following leading shipbuilding companies from six European Countries:

DAMEN Shipyards Group (The Netherlands)
Naval Group (France)
FINCANTIERI S.p.A. (Italy)
Fr. Lürssen Werft GmbH & Co (Germany)
MEYER WERFT GmbH (Germany)
Meyer TURKU OY (Finland)
NAVANTIA S.L. (Spain)
Chantiers de l’Atlantique (France)
Royal IHC (The Netherlands)

EUROYARDS members are leading builders of cruise ships as well as of other major high-technology vessel types such as ferries, specialised cargo ships, off-shore vessels, dredgers, other specialised ships as well as mega-yachts. Furthermore, some members are key players in the European and worldwide naval shipbuilding industry.

EUROYARDS members employ a workforce of about 50.000 and have a production value in the range of €13bn.

All EUROYARDS shipyards are members of SEA Europe (Ships and Maritime Equipment Associations of Europe), the new entity in which CESA (Community of European Shipbuilders and Shiprepairers Associations) and EMEC (European Marine Equipment Council) have joined their forces.
