e-EUROSHIP PORTAL is a procurement system jointly developed by Shipbuilding Companies pertaining to EUROYARDS E.E.I.G. (European Economic Interest Grouping).

Participant Companies

The following Members of the EUROYARDS E.E.I.G. participate in the e-EUROSHIP project:

  • Aker Yards S.A. (France)
  • Fincantieri S.p.A. (Italy)
  • NAVANTIA S.L. (Spain)
  • MEYER WERFT GmbH (Germany)
The EUROYARDS Companies are producing a combined purchase volume of about 3/4 billion EURO per year.


Mission

To invigorate the shipbuilding industry in Europe by creating a virtual meeting place that will facilitate interaction between suppliers and shipbuilders, thus increasing overall efficiency of the players involved.

Goals

The participating companies have established a pan-European portal that will enable them to optimise communication with the suppliers. The use of a suitable Internet platform will allow a significant expansion in the relationships and a considerable acceleration in the transactions with the network of the shipyards and suppliers participating in the initiative. Reduction of costs for members, rapid adoption of e-business, reduction of connectivity costs, and greater alignment with industry technology standards are only some of Euroship's goals.

Developement of the Project
  • At present almost 800 suppliers have subscribed to e-Euroship, who can be contacted by 260 purchasers from all 5 participating shipyards.
